it's nov. happy 28month+1day baby!
no mood to study. sigh. why why why. the weather's too hot to think.
watched this low-budget short film on channel U just now. it's some "blog" related show. forgot the name. very nice! so sad.. but its so realistic and true. it's blog-like cause they used typing on a black screen to show his emotions. like he was writting in his blog or something. in super ahbeng singlish haha.
was about this 16yr old boy being suspended from sch. then aft the suspension he refused to go back to sch. gangs la, smoking la, fighting la.. all that internal struggle and identity confusion (thankyou ong tua tao) how misunderstood he was in sch and at home. sobs. but then his mother never gave up, she kept ironing his uniform haha hanging on to the hope that her "ah boy" would one day go back. gosh so sad! deep down he did wanna go back to sch, just that his pride got in the way. he kept asking himself what future, what life, where to go from here etc. in the end. he saw how even tho the whole world gave up on him, his mother didnt. so he forced himself to go back to that dreadful sch where teachers/principals all treated him like shit. he did it for his ma.
=]] i think that's something lotsa teens go thru.. before the credits, they gave hotlines for those sch dropouts to call
i wonder if i'll be a good parent next time. an authoritative one =]
it's weird how my electives seem more applicable to real life than my core mods.

it's e-learning week =]
which means no school this tuesday and thursday =]
yay =]
better use this extra time to mug mug mug.. this sem hasnt been as good as the others.. i'm slipping.. wouldnt be surprised if i failed those 2 cas.. somehow i lost the drive to workhard.
maybe cause all my time nowadays goes to SP. spent so much time, put in so much effort.. for what? for afew % here and there.. sigh.
time flies. half the sem's already gone =x it scares me. ppl are turning 21 so fast! (happy birthday charm haha) and soon it'll be my turn.. adulthood. hmmmmm. i don't know what to think, what to feel about that.. it's really the "i'm not a girl, not yet a woman" britney kinda feeling haha.. to be honest i'm just thinkin about what presents to ask for HAHAH =x and i wonder what i should get him...
sometimes i wish time would go by more quickly, i wanna work, i wanna be a pharmacist.. i don't wanna memorise nonsensical stats formulas, i don't wanna take 151, i don't wanna go kentridge.. i wanna drive a VWbeetle, i wanna live in those huge pretty kentridge terrace houses =]]
life is kinda strange aint it.. (abstract thought) think about thinking.. i often do that, i must be soooo developed cognitively eh =]] i used to think, why am i thinking about thinking.. hmmmm.

omg pageant is over! ^^ QUINTessential bash nus..
after all that anxiety and stress, i have to say.. it was helluvaFUN! hahaha..
don't think i would've enjoyed it this much if my darlins werent there =]] thanks babes.. plus jiansheng LOL
judge told me i lost by 1 point.. -.- what luck man!

today is the start of my recess week =D wheeeee~

adventurous me attended 1 session of JAZZ dance yesterday. 6.30 to 8pm..
happily charm and i got all eager at the thought of jazzz... mmmmm ^^ the soul. the sexy beats.
but sadly, what we experienced was nothing of that sort .. .. .. ..
what we assumed was a warmup (like all other dance lessons) lasted for god knows how long! around 1HOUR was our guess.. -.- in our minds was a constant thought, are we in the right class??????? seemed more like some aerobics or cardio workout than JAZZ dance.. where was the jazz? where was the dance?!?!?
student instructor (i think) yesyes she's a great dancer, but good teacher? no way.. who makes you repeat the same stretching move like 50 freakin times? o.o just a really mean guess of mine is that she simply can't come up with another move.. guess primary sch PE classes didnt teach her much.. tskkkk
she made us do situps n pushups on the hard wooden floor. she's evil.
after a 5min break.. finally! some hint of dancing! haha.. due to charm n i missing the very 1st class last week, we were sorta lost in the beginning, but no biggie cause the steps were fairly simple.. and again, where was the jazz??? =[ disappointed we were... it turned out more like hiphop. even the teacher wore baggy stuff like a hiphopper. what happened to my black sexy suit and fedora and cane! =[ the only part i felt was jazzy enough was the bodywave bit at the end. but even that she was able to tweak n make it come out hiphop-ish -.-
the music was also hiphop-ish. sigh. end of second lesson and all we got were 10 counts of 8.. is that a suitable amount? not for 1.5hr lessons noooooo.. slow. was it cause the warmup was too long? hmmmm nahhh 1HOUR warmups are soo normal...
what other stuff can i join eh? anyone with suggestions?

i have not been updating my blog lately. nothin significant has really happened.
school is school. as charm very funnily put it : how's school life? what life!
i'm rather thankful for the big gang of 7 i have in pharm =]]
makes life in muggertown wayyyy more manageable , palatable.. haha
adds some random hysterical laughter every now and then, to fill the void that is .. "what am i doing in pharm"
certain profs are entertaining as well. colouful characters really. ok so school aint THAT bad. quit complaining.. labs have yet to start, tuts not really in full-swing yet. why oh why do i feel the hatred for school already???? maybe it's the knowledge that imminent doom is approaching.. =[
i wanna get a fun relaxing cca.. how how i don't know what to join!
got urges for drama. but nus drama is kinda..... bleagh

much has happened since my last post. but too personal for an online blog. sorry folks =p no juicy details this time.. that's saved for my "real" diary locked in my drawer.
on to happy, insignificant things i can blab about here.. (yes, that's the reason why my blog is full of rubbish)
i finally bought a tote bag for school! =D it's just the shape n size i wanted. perfect!
from Lacoste, not too expensive. made of canvas, waterproof and won't stain, easy to clean, not too soft, not too hard.
was contemplating between pink n black.. coz the pink one actually caught my eye first, it was just so sweet a colour! really nice shade of pink/red. but in the end i settled for black. hoping to not be too loud. the straps actually sold it for me =] really nice blend of lightblue and yellow.. HEE.
it's a new arrival.
just hope no one else gets the same one?
my spree stuffs are finally arriving soon! they're gonna be mailed out this week =]] yayyyy

last week, family outing at AMICI hollandvillage.
trust the Tan family to splurge on food. and nothin but food.
tucked at the corner of hollandv, next to foster's, is this old rustic-lookin italian restaurant.
famous for it's "drowned-in-rum" tiramisu cake, which honestly made us all a little dizzy after just afew spoonfuls..
a ghost town in the day, but almost fully packed by night, Amici is a nice cosy place for couples to enjoy a candle-lit dinner. as can be seen by the many pairs of gals n guys strolling in hand-in-hand..
but price is definitely an issue =x
dad's a member, so we got some special deals =]
HENCE... (drumroll please!)
4 ppl.. 2 green lobster pastas & 2 beef tenderloin (or sirloin or wadeva, like i care -.-)
haha it's pretty awkward to eat when ppl at the table next to urs are staring at ur lobster, and staring at you X)
i had the lobster of course.. big and juicy mmmm but i still prefer thermidor with it's cheesy goodness mmm! or lobster salad.. that never fails to be awesome.. this one had yummy little cubes of tomatoes but wayyy too much garlic. not bad, but not the best.
after dinner, dessert!

yesterday was our 2nd year anniversary ^^
we had a fun night out, at "our spot" in vivo skygarden.
it's become a tradition..
and last night, baby n i made magic =]] heh.
i painstakingly made him a card. and i'm sorta proud of it =D

today, met dearie again..
went to orchard faberhouse to send my GuessWatch for repair =[
so sad! first i lose my ring =[ and now a piece of my watch dropped off =[

pharm'09 grad night

yesterday was a loong hard day for me.
had to be in school for unionweek fashion show rehearsal, which wasnt v efficient actually =x sorry ppl. i spent most of my time there just waiting around.. hmm. but i got a feeling the final show will be good =] the clothes some of these student designers made were really pretty creative and .. nice! i think i would actually buy some of those hahaha. but my designer wasnt in school yest, so i don't even know what i'll be wearin.. can't wait to see it!
aft 2hours in school, had to rush off to pole at milleniawalk. wow yest's routine was HARD =X i really ought to practise this time.. gosh. feel so embarrassed if everyone can do it and i can't ahhhhhh.. better do some abs training over the week. easier said than done. who am i kidding, i'm not gonna do anythin o.o
then after dance, i came home, showered, got ready for pharm'09 grad night. sarah n i were the helpers. the ONLY year 1/2 helpers might i add. felt so so out of place =x cause the other helpers were quarantined thanks to mr h1n1 who showed up at the foc uninvited. -.- sheesh. how rude. so anw, grad night was at hilton hotel vista room, small but cosy, just nicely seated about 100 ppl. plus a tiny stage in the middle.
the helpers basically helped out with the games part, pageant games etc. we had to rush on and off the stage the whole night! who's complainin, at least we had stuff to do, rather than just sit there awkwardly and eat a free dinner o.o haha it was kinda fun la.. and we got to experience a uni graduation party, wayyyy ahead of time heh.
the most impt part i must say.. is that the year4s or the graduates hmm, were really really nice to us!!! (sarah n i) i feel so loved awwww..
we were just puny unimportant helpers and some of em came out of their way to ensure we were getting the food, had a nice comfy place to sit etc. eventually one table actually offered to let us join em, and they pulled a chair over so the 2 awkward girls could sit together and not die of shame =x hahaha.. jevin even gave us his doorgift LOL. and it was THEIR night. everyone dressed so pretty and elegant.. some games/performances turned out really fun and entertaining =]
so it's true, after i've experienced first hand.. that ppl in healthcare truly are caring. pharmacists are nice ppl.

oh i almost forgot, the waiter serving our table (3) was also very nice (what's the english word for "ti tie"?) haha.. sadly, i didnt get a chance to tell his supervisor hmmhmm.. and i don't carry GEM cards around.

gonna need a new wallet soon too. coz my precious Guess one (from baby) has a tiny tear at the buckle =x which means i have to be oh so careful everytime i open it.. sigh.

but i've been eyeing this charles&keith wallet for some time now. too bad i can't find a photo of it to post here..

Ladyluxe @ supperclub =]]] dine for FREEEEEEE
lotsa unglam photos due to large beds being too comfy and humongous pillows being too fluffy..
